Handmade wine ceramic bud vase — small sculptural piece hand-pinched with horizontal ridged texture, finished in deep wine-red, rose-pink, copper and pearl-cream glaze. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio.

Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.

Like a slice of birch bark dipped in mulled wine. Horizontal ridges wind around the body like tree rings, catching the reactive glaze in alternating bands of deep wine and soft pearl-pink — with warm copper veins running through the lower half. The reactive glaze pools, drips and crystallises in the kiln, leaving glassy textures and tiny rust-coloured tideline marks.

At 12 cm tall, this is a perfect bud-vase size — generous enough for a single rose, a few tulips, or a small dried bouquet, yet sculptural enough to display alone as a quiet object.

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions, colour and pattern may vary slightly between vases. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every vase is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio. Every vase is pinched, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. The reactive wine and copper glazes are unpredictable: they crawl, bubble and pool in the kiln, creating the bark-like surface you see here. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.

Wrapped with care in recycled tissue paper, packed in a sturdy box with extra cushioning for safe travel, and tied with natural twine. Every order includes a handwritten thank-you note from our studio.
