Handmade sunset fern ceramic vase — sculpted by hand with layered mountain-and-fern relief, finished in coral pink, cream and sage reactive glaze. Choose from two one-of-a-kind sister pieces. Made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio. Only one of each exists — once it's sold, it's gone.

Warm terracotta and cream tones dominate, with soft pink at the rim and hints of moss at the base. A more earthy, wabi-sabi feel — like a mountainside at dusk.

Deeper coral pink washes across the upper half, with cream and blush glaze pooling into the carved fern relief. Slightly larger — a rose-garden-at-sunset feel.

Both are hand-carved with the same fern-and-mountain relief technique — like a mountainside covered in ferns at sunset. Every angle reveals a different ridge, a different pooling of glaze, a different fern unfurling from the clay.

* Shape: organic sculpted cylinder with rising fern peaks, slightly irregular

* Materials: stoneware clay, food-safe reactive glaze, lead-free

* Colours: coral pink, blush, cream, moss and forest green — with reactive glaze pooling naturally

* Each piece: 2–4 hours of careful handwork, then 48 hours in the kiln across two firings — no two are alike

* Care: hand-wash recommended; not microwave/dishwasher tested

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. This is part of the charm of handmade work.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every vase is rolled, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. These two were sculpted in the same session — sister pieces from a memory of a walk through the dunes at sunset, ferns unfurling in the last warm light. The reactive glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.

Wrapped with care in recycled tissue paper, packed in a sturdy box with extra cushioning for safe travel, and tied with natural twine. Every order includes a handwritten thank-you note from our studio.
