Handmade sea grass ceramic tumbler — for slow mornings, matcha rituals, and coastal reveries. Hand-sculpted with rippling wave relief, finished in iridescent mint, sea-foam green and honey amber reactive glaze. Like holding a shallow tide in your hands. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio, just steps from the North Sea. Only one exists in the world.

Like sunlight through sea grass on a shallow coast. Rippling waves of mint and sea-foam green cascade across the surface, catching iridescent light — with honey and amber tones running through the ridges like sun-warmed sand. The perfect vessel for slow rituals: matcha whisked to a soft green foam, a pour-over coffee, or evening tea by the window.

At 15 cm tall and 10 cm wide, it holds a generous serving — a full pour-over, a rich matcha, or a long tea. Warm to the touch. Every angle reveals a different ripple, a different pooling of glaze.

Use it for: ✦ your morning matcha ritual — the mint glaze reflects the matcha green ✦ pour-over or drip coffee ✦ green tea, genmaicha or hojicha ✦ evening chamomile or slow-reading tea ✦ a meaningful gift for a matcha lover, coffee enthusiast, or coastal home dweller

— THE DETAILS —

* Width: approx. 10 cm / 3.9 inches

* Height: approx. 15 cm / 5.9 inches

* Capacity: approx. 350–400 ml / 12 oz

* Shape: organic cylindrical form with rippling wave relief, slightly irregular

* Materials: stoneware clay, food-safe reactive glaze, lead-free

* Colours: iridescent mint, sea-foam green, sage, honey amber and sand — with reactive glaze pooling naturally

* Each piece: 2–4 hours of careful handwork, then 48 hours in the kiln across two firings — no two are alike

* Care: hand-wash recommended; not microwave/dishwasher tested

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. Small kiln kisses, tiny irregularities, and pooled glaze are part of the wabi-sabi charm — every cup is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every cup is rolled, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. This one was sculpted from a memory of a shallow tidal flat at midday — sea grass swaying in the current, sunlight catching every ripple. The reactive glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the iridescent surface you see here. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.
