Vintage Lace Coffee Mug, Turquoise Doily Ceramic, Handmade Dutch Pottery
Incl. BTW
Handmade vintage lace ceramic coffee mug — hand-pressed with a vintage doily and finished in soft turquoise reactive glaze with warm copper undertones showing through. Like drinking morning coffee from grandma's lace tablecloth. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio. Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.
Like a piece of your grandmother's linen cabinet, made warm and glazed. Turquoise glaze pools softly across the surface, catching every stitch of the vintage doily we pressed into the wet clay — copper and rust tones glowing through the recesses where the glaze ran thin. The perfect mug for slow mornings and quiet coffees.
At 11 cm tall and 10 cm wide, it holds a comfortable serving — perfect for a large coffee, a hot chocolate, or a long cup of tea. Warm and comforting to hold. The handle is hand-attached and softly curved.
Use it for: ✦ your morning coffee, drip or French press ✦ hot chocolate on cold days ✦ a long cup of tea in the afternoon ✦ a meaningful gift for a coffee lover, cottagecore soul, or vintage-loving friend ✦ a self-gift for lovers of soulful, one-of-a-kind objects

* Height: approx. 11 cm / 4.3 inches
* Capacity: approx. 300 ml / 10 oz
* Shape: cylindrical with hand-attached handle, slightly irregular
* Materials: stoneware clay, food-safe reactive glaze, lead-free

* Each piece: 2–4 hours of careful handwork, then 48 hours in the kiln across two firings — no two are alike
* Care: hand-wash recommended; not microwave/dishwasher tested
Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and hand-pressed with vintage lace, and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. Small kiln kisses and pooled glaze are part of the wabi-sabi charm — every mug is truly unique.
— THE STORY —
We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every mug is rolled, lace-pressed, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. We collect vintage lace doilies — pieces our grandmothers stitched — and press them into wet stoneware. The cloth burns away in the kiln, but the pattern stays forever. The reactive turquoise glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the warm copper undertones you see here.
