Mountain Lake Sunset Vase, Sculpted Alpine Ceramic, Handmade Pottery

€ 74,00

Handmade mountain lake ceramic vase — hand-sculpted into a small alpine landscape at sunset, with layered mountain peaks rising above a turquoise lake. Finished in rose pink, honey amber, sage green, and mint reactive glaze. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio. Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.

Like standing beside a mountain lake at last light. A rose-pink sky burns above the horizon, while layered mountain peaks in warm honey and copper fade into the distance — and below, a turquoise-and-mint lake catches the reflection of the day's end. A story vase for lovers of alpine landscapes and slow, quiet mornings.

At 16 cm tall and 13 cm wide, this is a real statement size — generous enough for a small bouquet of dried grasses, wildflowers or eucalyptus, striking enough to stand alone as sculpture on a mantel, sideboard or bookshelf.

Use it for: ✦ a small bouquet of dried grasses, eucalyptus or wildflowers ✦ a sculptural statement piece on a mantel, sideboard or bookshelf ✦ an alpine, mountain, or wabi-sabi decor accent ✦ a meaningful gift for a hiker, camper, traveller, or lake lover ✦ a self-gift for collectors of soulful, one-of-a-kind objects

— THE DETAILS —

* Width: approx. 13 cm / 5.1 inches

* Height: approx. 16 cm / 6.3 inches

* Shape: organic sculpted alpine landscape with layered peaks, slightly irregular

* Materials: stoneware clay, food-safe reactive glaze, lead-free

* Colours: rose pink, honey amber, copper, sage green, mint and turquoise — with reactive glaze pooling and crystallising naturally

* Each piece: 2–4 hours of careful handwork, then 48 hours in the kiln across two firings — no two are alike

* Care: hand-wash recommended; not microwave/dishwasher tested

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every vase is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every vase is rolled, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. This one was sculpted from a memory of a mountain lake at sunset — the sky burning rose, the water still and cool. The reactive glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the watercolor landscape you see here. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.

— PACKAGING —
