Handmade coral and sage ceramic vase — hand-sculpted with layered coral-and-mountain relief, finished in coral pink, sunset peach and sage green reactive glaze. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio. Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.

Like a coral reef surfacing at sunset. Coral-red skies burn across the top, layered mountain-and-reef ridges rise in warm peach and rose, and a sage-green valley cools at the base — speckled with brown pebbles like a mossy meadow after rain. Every angle reveals a different ridge, a different pooling of glaze, a different piece of the landscape.

At 15 cm tall and 12 cm wide, this is a perfect statement size — generous enough for a small bouquet of dried grasses or wildflowers, striking enough to stand alone as sculpture on a shelf, sideboard or mantel.

Use it for: ✦ a small bouquet of dried grasses, eucalyptus or wildflowers ✦ a sculptural accent on a mantel, sideboard or bookshelf ✦ a coastal-meets-mountain or wabi-sabi decor piece ✦ a meaningful housewarming, wedding, or anniversary gift for a nature lover, hiker or art collector ✦ a self-gift for lovers of soulful, one-of-a-kind objects

— THE DETAILS —

* Width: approx. 12 cm / 4.7 inches

* Height: approx. 15 cm / 5.9 inches

* Shape: organic sculpted with coral-reef and mountain-ridge relief, slightly irregular

* Materials: stoneware clay, food-safe reactive glaze, lead-free

* Colours: coral red, blush pink, peach, sage green and moss — with reactive glaze pooling and crystallising naturally

* Each piece: 2–4 hours of careful handwork, then 48 hours in the kiln across two firings — no two are alike

* Care: hand-wash recommended; not microwave/dishwasher tested

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every vase is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every vase is rolled, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. This one was sculpted from a memory of a coral reef seen at sunset — coral and stone rising from a mossy shallow. The reactive glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the layered watercolor surface you see here. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.
