Handmade cream and earth ceramic vase — sculpted by hand with carved wave ripples, finished in soft snow-cream glaze fading into warm natural stoneware. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio. Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.

Like a snowy horizon meeting an earth-brown riverbed. Cream and pale sage glaze pools softly across the upper half, catching the light on carved wave-like ridges. The lower half is left in its natural stoneware clay — warm tans and honey browns showing through, textured with the same carved rhythm. A wabi-sabi piece for lovers of quiet, natural objects.

At 14 cm tall and 9 cm wide, this is a perfect medium size — generous enough for a small bouquet of dried grasses or wildflowers, quiet enough to stand alone as sculpture.

Use it for: ✦ dried grasses, wheat or wildflower stems ✦ a sculptural accent on a windowsill, bookshelf or side table ✦ a wabi-sabi or Japandi decor accent ✦ a meaningful housewarming or anniversary gift ✦ a self-gift for lovers of slow, natural objects

— THE DETAILS —

* Width: approx. 9 cm / 3.5 inches

* Height: approx. 14 cm / 5.5 inches

* Shape: cylindrical with hand-carved wave texture, slightly irregular

* Materials: stoneware clay, food-safe reactive glaze on upper half, unglazed natural clay on lower half, lead-free

* Colours: cream, snow white, sage, warm tan and honey brown

* Each piece: 2–4 hours of careful handwork, then 48 hours in the kiln across two firings — no two are alike

* Care: hand-wash recommended; not microwave/dishwasher tested

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every vase is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every vase is rolled, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. This one was sculpted from a memory of a winter riverbed — the snow just settling on the pebbles, the earth still warm underneath. The reactive glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the soft snowline you see here. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.
