Moss Agate Sculpted Vase, Waterfall Landscape Ceramic, Handmade Pottery
VAT included
Handmade moss agate ceramic vase — hand-sculpted with layered cliff-and-waterfall relief, finished in cream, sage green, mint and rich copper reactive glaze. Like a slice of moss agate stone brought to life in clay. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio. Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.
Like the veins of a moss agate stone. Cream and sage-green glaze pool through carved cliff ridges, with copper and honey streaming down like a hidden waterfall catching the sun. Every angle reveals a different vein, a different pooling of glaze — every rotation tells a different chapter of a landscape.
At 16 cm tall and 12 cm wide, this is a real statement size — generous enough for a small bouquet of dried grasses or wildflowers, striking enough to stand alone as sculpture on a mantel, sideboard or bookshelf.
Use it for: ✦ a small bouquet of dried grasses, eucalyptus or wildflowers ✦ a sculptural statement piece on a mantel, sideboard or bookshelf ✦ a natural, crystal-inspired, or wabi-sabi decor accent ✦ a meaningful housewarming, wedding, or anniversary gift for nature lovers, crystal collectors, or slow-living homes ✦ a self-gift for collectors of one-of-a-kind soulful objects
— THE DETAILS —
* Width: approx. 12 cm / 4.7 inches
* Height: approx. 16 cm / 6.3 inches
* Shape: organic sculpted with cliff-and-waterfall relief, slightly irregular
* Materials: stoneware clay, food-safe reactive glaze, lead-free
* Colours: cream, sage green, mint, copper, honey and earth brown — with reactive glaze pooling and crystallising naturally
* Each piece: 2–4 hours of careful handwork, then 48 hours in the kiln across two firings — no two are alike
* Care: hand-wash recommended; not microwave/dishwasher tested
Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every vase is truly unique.
— THE STORY —
We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every vase is rolled, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. This one was sculpted from a memory of a hidden waterfall — moss growing on the cliff face, copper minerals streaming through the water. The reactive glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the moss-agate veins you see here. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.
