A large lace bowl, thirty-two centimetres across, in deep blue glaze with white tones scattered across the floor like stars. The pattern of a crocheted doily from Jo's grandmother's drawer is pressed into the wet clay — an imprint from another era.
Use it as a fruit bowl, on a sideboard, or empty on a dining table: the lace speaks softly without needing to hold anything.
