Kantschaal — Ocean Turquoise

Handmade ocean ceramic bowl — large statement piece pressed by hand with

vintage lace, finished in crackling turquoise and sea-foam glaze. One of a

kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio.

Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.

Like a tide pool caught in clay. The cream rim curves like a wave-tossed shell,

while the centre shimmers in turquoise, aqua and seafoam green — speckled with

tiny bubble-like dots where the glaze pooled and crystallised in the kiln.

Every dot, every shimmer, every bubble is a happy accident of fire and glaze.

At 23 cm across, this is a generous size — large enough for fruit, bread or

a centrepiece, yet still elegant enough for jewellery and small treasures.

Use it for:

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows

unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly between

bowls. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every bowl is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio. Every

bowl is rolled, lace-pressed, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet,

and never two alike. The reactive turquoise glaze is unpredictable: it crawls,

bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the ocean-like surface you see here.

We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.

Wrapped with care in recycled tissue paper, packed in a sturdy box with extra

cushioning for safe travel, and tied with natural twine. Every order includes

a handwritten thank-you note from our studio.
