Tulpenvaas — Rainbow Dawn

Handmade rainbow ceramic vase — large statement piece hand-sculpted with flowing petal reliefs, finished in coral pink, sunset orange, ocean blue, sage green and lime glaze. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio.

Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.

Like a sunset wrapping itself around a mountain. Coral-pink rises at the rim, melts into bands of warm orange and ocean blue at the centre, then slips down into soft lime and sage at the base — every band of colour separated by a hand-sculpted petal or leaf curling across the surface. The reactive glaze pools, drips and crystallises in the kiln, leaving glassy textures and tiny bubble-like pools where the colours met and melted.

At 23 cm tall, this is a generous size — large enough to hold a full bouquet of tulips, hydrangeas or pampas grass, yet sculptural enough to display alone as a centrepiece of art.

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions, colour and pattern may vary slightly between vases. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every vase is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio. Every vase is pinched, sculpted, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. The reactive rainbow glazes are unpredictable: they crawl, bubble and pool in the kiln, creating the sunset-over-meadow surface you see here. We never know exactly what will come out — each piece is a small surprise.

Wrapped with care in recycled tissue paper, packed in a sturdy box with extra cushioning for safe travel, and tied with natural twine. Every order includes a handwritten thank-you note from our studio.
