Handmade vintage doily ceramic fruit bowl — hand-pressed with a delicate lace pattern and finished in soft sage, cream and warm rust reactive glaze. Like a stitched cloth turned to stone. One of a kind, made in the Netherlands by a mother-and-son studio. Only one exists in the world. Once it's sold, it's gone.

Like a fossil of your grandmother's linen cabinet. Every stitch of vintage lace is pressed forever into the clay — a floral mandala blooming from the centre in warm rust and dusty pink, wrapped in soft sage and cream glaze. The shallow shape catches light like a garden path stone. A rustic centerpiece for slow, colourful kitchens.

At 26 cm across and 6 cm deep, this is a perfect medium serving size — generous for fruit, bread, or a table centrepiece, shallow enough to display as a wall or shelf accent.

Please note: as each piece is hand-shaped and the reactive glaze flows unpredictably in the kiln, dimensions and pattern may vary slightly. This is part of the charm of handmade work — every bowl is truly unique.

— THE STORY —

We are a mother and son working side by side in a small Dutch studio in Katwijk aan Zee, just a few streets from the North Sea. Every bowl is rolled, lace-pressed, glazed and fired by our hands — slow, quiet, and never two alike. We collect vintage lace doilies — pieces our grandmothers stitched — and press them into wet stoneware. The cloth burns away in the kiln, but the pattern stays forever. The reactive glaze is unpredictable: it crawls, bubbles and pools in the kiln, creating the fossil-like surface you see here.

Wrapped with care in recycled tissue paper, packed in a sturdy box with extra cushioning for safe travel, and tied with natural twine. Every order includes a handwritten thank-you note from our studio.
